Vivian Akinyi Komullo is the Assistant Director and she also very instrumental in fundraising for the Mathare Foundation. She has played for the Kenya Women Football Team-Harambee Starlet. She is a member of the Management Team at Mathare Foundation.
Charles Warria is the Chairperson of Mathare Foundation Executive Board. His role is mainly to assist the organization in resource mobilization and leading the board to offer oversight role. He currently works at Shinning Hope for Communities (SHOFCO). He formerly was the Head of MRE, Policy and Climate Change at the Kenya Markets Trust. A former Director for Monitoring and Evaluation with Deloitte East Africa, Charles is a Development Economist and Performance Results expert with extensive experience and knowledge in working with the Public, Private sector and Civil Society sectors in Africa, developing and mainstreaming performance and results management for sustainable development.
Calleb Okoyo is a skilled grant, finance and donor compliance specialist with over 17 years’ experience in providing grant, financial and compliance technical expertise to local and International Non-governmental organizations in East, Central and Southern Africa. Calleb holds a Master of Business Administration (Project Management) degree from Kenyatta University, a degree in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting). He is a qualified Certified Public Accountant –CPA(K). He serves as the treasurer of the Executive Board.
Mary-Sanyu Osire has 7 years of experience in using a mix of communication tools, channels and approaches to strategically position humanitarian organizations as authorities in their domain. She has worked in Somalia, Kenya & Ethiopia -- and supported humanitarian communication projects in Eastern Africa region. Currently she works at International Organization for Immigration as the Public Information Officer in Somalia region. She is a member of the Executive Board.
Maureen is a specialist in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She spends her spare time helping under-privileged communities in her society, as well as volunteering at the Kenyatta National Hospital. At the hospital, she volunteers at the pediatric cancer ward. She is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders' Initiative-cohort 3. She is the Founder of Tule Vyema an organization which encourages people to live healthy lives by eating nutritious food so as to eliminate malnutrition communities. Maureen Muketha is member of the Executive Board.
Jackline Obiero is the Head of Internship and the Editor in Chief at Africa 24 Media. Africa 24 produces compelling content that makes people want to peek, or gawk, or listen up, It tells the african strory. Jackline Obiero brings vast experience, which she has acquired in the media industry. She serves as an ordinary member of the Executive Board and assists the Mathare Foundation to become more effective in their photography and film project.
Eric Omwanda Nehemiah is the Founder and Executive Director at Mathare Foundation, born in 1990 in Nairobi, Kenya. He is an award winning young leader. Eric has won the following awards; Commonwealth Youth Worker Awards Africa Region, Caroline Mutoko Scholarship, Resolution Fellowship Project among others. He is a One Young World Ambassador. He is also an alumni of Young African Leaders Initiative.
Tobias Khatete was born in 1993 in Mathare slums, Nairobi, Kenya. He is in the Zetech College, studying mass communication and media studies and is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative. In 2017 he was an intern at Africa 24 media and was selected to be part of the Young African Leaders Initiative for his outstanding contribution in training young people. Tobias Khatete is passionate in exploring stories through photography (streets, Fashion, Wedding and Portraiture). He is currently the Vice Chairperson and Photography Instructor at Mathare Foundation.
Diana Owade is a our currently the person in-charge of book keeping at the Mathare Foundation. She has been with the Mathare Foundation since 2018. Diana was a participant of Shoot and Score photography project which was supported by Lensational and Farenet.
Sharon Aluoch is the founding secretary of Mathare Foundation. She is football coach and a professional football player with Gaspo. Sharon has also played for Kenyan National Women Football Team "Harambee Starlets".
Maria Hyra has studied International relationship and diplomacy. She has worked with the United Nation Office of Drugs and Crime. She loves being part of community development in slums areas. Her visit to Kenya in 2014 provoked her thoughts about the young people who live in Mathare slums. She was very puzzled and decided to assist the Mathare Foundation by coming up with creative and innovative ideas to raise funds. Maria Hyra is a member of the Mathare Foundations Advisory Board.
Kofi Kyeremateng-Ababio is an author, development coach and mentor with knowledge and experience in helping people transform and shape their lives and dreams into practical realities. He is the Founder and CEO of Personal Success Principles, LLC, and a member of Toastmaster International. Known for his leadership skills, writing, and his love to educate people, Kofi Kyeremateng-Ababio received the Competent Communicator {CC} Award at Toastmaster International. His life's vision and purpose is to inspire personal and professional growth, entrepreneurship and leadership globally, particularly, in Africa. He is part of the Advisory Board.
Youssef Boulkaid is a freelance photographer and a web and graphic designer from France, based in Stockholm, Sweden. He is kind and passionate about children and photography and has been very instrumental in supporting the Mathare Foundation. As a part of the organizations advisory board, Youssef Boulkaid offers very well reasoned solutions to challenges that arise and he put the Mathare Foundation close to his heart.
Lindsey Conner Mosby is a former Vice President of Frog Inc. and currently works at Gensler. Dedicated to the vision and mission of better, more effective, efficient and accessible health care for each and every one of us. She brings experience in strategic planning, brand and experience strategy, and organizational and cultural behavior to the business of healthcare innovation. She is part of our advisory board.
Tabitha Sindani is both an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative and Mandela Washington Fellowship. Currently she is studying at the Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Tabitha Sindani is very passionate about empowering communities. She has been an intern at the African Union Headquarters in Ethiopia in the past.
